Text: Hosea 10 [Please read the text through and then answer these questions]

1. What has Israel done with the prosperity God has given them?

2. What is meant by “Their heart is divided (wavering)” in verse 2?

3. After God brings about destruction, what will Israel realize as stated in verse 3?

4. Verse 4 mentions judgment springing up in the furrows of the field. What do you think this is referring to?

5. Why were the inhabitants of Samaria sad and what does this show about how far they have strayed from God?

6. What will happen to Samaria according to verses 6-10?

7. How was Israel like a trained heifer that loves to thresh?  Why would God yoke them and make them plow and harrow?  How are plowing and harrowing different from threshing?

8. How does Israel need to change its "spiritual farming techniques?"

9. What is difficult about breaking fallow ground and what is Hosea referring to? How does this relate to us and our spiritual state?
